“...changing lives through Gospel Music since 1970” |
|
THE GROUP In 1970 several men banded together to form an all male Gospel Quartet in the Houston, Texas area to minister wherever God would lead them. Through the years several singers and musicians have contributed part of their lives to this ministry. In 1981, this ministry became known as the Kingdom Heirs. Then, in 2004, they were compelled to change their name again. This time they chose Gold Rush Quartet. The Gold Rush Quartet currently consists of six men who continue to sing and play Southern Gospel Music. They minister in a variety of settings including churches, music festivals, county fairs, banquets, homecomings, special music programs, and anniversaries (both wedding and churches). They sing in a variety of churches from Pentecostal to Baptist, from Lutheran to Assembly of God, from Church of God to Non-denominational … that is to say, all kinds and sizes of churches in 7 states. Even though the group members live some 100+ miles apart they continue to rehearse on a regular weekly basis in order to maintain an optimum presentation for their Lord Jesus Christ. The Gold Rush Quartet has produced a number of recordings throughout the years and has shared the stage with some of the most renowned Gospel Quartets of today: The Kingsmen, The Cathedrals, The Perrys, The Blackwoods, The Dixie Echoes and others. Some years ago, the group even sang at the National Quartet Convention in Nashville. However, the real joy comes when they see lives changed by the power of Jesus Christ through the working of the Holy Spirit. God provides for and takes care of the needs of the group through love offerings where they sing. They also have tapes and CD’s available for those who want to take Christian music with them wherever they go. |
