May, 2010— Recently we were leading in morning worship at Deerbrook Baptist Church in Humble Texas. We had a great time of worship and the Spirit moved a number of people to a closer walk. The pastor Brain McFarlain who has been in the pastoral ministry for over eighteen years has been there about a year and a half and the church is very excited. We had a great time in worship and fellowship and were told that we would be returning again in the future. It is always a blessing to be used by God and we want to give all praise and honor to our Lord Jesus Christ. It is special for us to serve the Lord through music but it is even more special when God allows you “to see Him working” as you serve. If any of you happen to be in the Humble area on a Sunday or Wednesday you should check out Deerbrook Baptist Church @ 400 East Main.

Our last Sunday evening concert was at the First Assembly of God church in Dayton Texas. We were made so welcome by Pastor Charles Pierce and a wonderful group of people who love the Lord Jesus and love to sing His praise. It was so easy to sing to people who loved to hear the gospel in southern style. As we prayed, sang and worshipped together we felt the presence of the Lord as He ministered to each of us. The church under the leadership of Pastor Pierce is just a few years old and but is a vibrant and growing church. If you are ever near or in Dayton on Sunday or Wednesday and are looking for a “worshipful” experience it would be great church to visit.

 

February, 2010—In the past few months, Gold Rush has been very busy and blessed.  They had two trips to Louisiana and several trips to spots in East Texas along with a number of concerts in the Houston and Pasadena area.  God has truly been blessing the ministry of this group.  In Louisiana, one of the engagements was for a revival at a small rural Baptist church, but there was nothing small about what God did in the revival for the church and how God blessed Gold Rush.  God shows himself so faithful when we obey.  WOW!!!  As an example, the group saw several decisions just recently in a small church up near Lake Livingston.  Again, God just opened the flood gates of blessing on the service.

Gold Rush doesn't do very many concerts, they are usually worship services with music as a medium to communicate the love and power of God and the saving grace of Jesus Christ.  And God sure knows how to do that.  God's hand is so evident on Gold Rush at this time in the way He reveals Himself through their ministry.  The group is ever thankful and blessed by God's watch care over them both physically and spiritually.

Along with all the ministry opportunities, the group just recently went to Florida to record their new project, "Feelin' Fine" at the Echo Sound Studio in Pensacola. 

If your church is seeking a truly spiritual experience in gospel music, you just might want to contact this group of guys.  They serve a living God who has also blessed them with live musicians, allowing them the freedom to follow the Holy Spirit's leading during the service.
